Starting from pole position, Pedro Clerot (VAR) managed to maintain the distance. More specifically, the Brazilian driver managed to get the better of an aggressive Enzo Deligny (R-ace GP) from the start, able to take control of the race. On the podium, the Japanese driver Jin Nakamura (R-ace GP) completed a great weekend after his strong comeback the day before, in addition to confirming his team's speed, weekend after weekend.
Fourth, Evan Giltaire (ART GP) was penalized, and did not reap the rewards of a generally successful day on the Red Bull Ring. The Frenchman gave way to a fortunate Freddie Slater (Prema), who took advantage of this opportunity to regain the championship lead by three points. Indeed, the Briton had a solid performance. Able to keep his teammate Rashid Al Dhaheri (Prema) behind him, the championship leader left Austria without a single podium finish.
Matteo De Palo (Trident), who finished first in the championship after his victory on Saturday, was not as fortunate this Sunday. The unlucky Italian was forced to retire after a collision with Indian Akshay Bohra (R-ace GP), who was penalized for his maneuver.
At the next round, the competing drivers will face off on the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit, in a configuration very different from that of Spielberg. The event will take place from September 19 to 21.
