At the end of the last round taking place on the side of Red Bull Ring, in Austria, the debates had clearly tightened between the leaders. With a three-point lead at this stage, Freddie Slater (Prema) took a good opportunity this Saturday morning by taking pole position for Race 1 thanks to a time set in 1:35.250. Far ahead of his rival Matteo De Palo (Trident), second in the championship, the Briton can be pleased to have set his best time thanks to a difference of 29 thousandths. Second in Group A, Frenchman Enzo Deligny (R-ace GP) can be satisfied with a third position on the grid, just ahead of VAR driver Pedro Clerot.

Fifth on the grid, Jin Nakamura also demonstrated the speed of his R-ace team by placing himself in third place in his group before Race 1. As for the other Frenchman in the spotlight on the grid, Evan Giltaire (ART GP), fourth in Group B, will start the first race of the weekend from eighth place. Also worth noting is the promising fourteenth place of Mexican Santiago Ramos (RPM), a temporary driver here in Barcelona after his season of Formula 3.

As for the rest of the day, Race 1 will start at 17:45 p.m. (French time) and will be available to follow live on AUTOhebdo.fr.
