Pole position, victory, fastest lap in the race. This could very simply sum up the Sunday experienced by Enzo Deligny, driver of the R-ace GP team in FRECA. Third in the championship, the latter nevertheless sees the Brazilian Pedro Clerot (VAR) return to equal points in the drivers' championship. Nevertheless, the former protégé of the sector Red Bull shines above all through pole positions and recurring successes, where the Auriverde is filling up with points, podiums after podiums if we look at the most recent dynamics.

After retiring in Race 1 after a tough start behind Matteo De Palo (Trident) and Freddie Slater (Prema) – the two championship leaders – Enzo Deligny didn't give up, and he spoke of "redemption" at the end of the weekend on his social media. The R-ace GP driver, who achieved a Grand Slam of pole, victory and fastest lap, is only the third Frenchman to achieve this feat in the history of the European Regional Formula.

Hadjar and his founding victory in Monaco

Before Deligny, only Isack Hadjar in 2021 on the Monaco side, and the driver of Formula 3 Alessandro Giusti in 2023 at Castellet had achieved a similar day at FRECA. As for Isack Hadjar, this success achieved on the streets of the Principality was a turning point in the career of the current Racing Bulls driver in Formula 1.

Spotted and signed by the Red Bull academy after this successful weekend, Isack Hadjar has not been let go by the Austrians since. Now at the gates of the parent team with a view to the 2026 season, the runner-up Formula 2 Is he paving the way for future Tricolores after him?

New victories for Deligny this year?

After being trained by the same academy last year during his first season in FRECA, Enzo Deligny has now had to compete without Red Bull's support since the beginning of this year. However, he has made significant progress in his results. Competitive and capable of winning regularly, the Frenchman told us after his second victory at Imola that he now has the necessary elements to compete on equal terms.

“Honestly, the biggest difference comes from our engines, he explained to us last AugustLast year, it was the opposite. In some races, I was sometimes up to 12 km/h slower than the leader. By the end of the year, it had become almost impossible to fight. The tires are a little different too, I think that helped the team find performance. Of course, I think I've improved too. Having a second consecutive year helps, I know the tracks now. But in any case, having more speed on the straights changes a lot of things. On circuits like Spa or Monza – which comes at the end of the year – it's crucial.
