Evan Giltaire obtains his Super Licence, the first Frenchman to achieve this since Isack Hadjar

Fifth in the 2025 FRECA season, Evan Giltaire finished his year well by climbing onto the podium in two races at Monza. With 40 points on his Super Licence, the Frenchman could hypothetically compete in Formula 1

After two seasons of FRECA alongside the French team ART Grand Prix, Evan Giltaire's adventure in car on European soil could well be over. Indeed, the 2023 French F4 champion, seventh in FRECA last year, clearly failed to convince one of the teams Formula 3 to recruit him for 2026, due to lack of budget.

Suffering a fate comparable to that of Hadrien David a few seasons ago, Evan Giltaire nevertheless finds himself in a rather unique position. Thanks to his success in FFSA F4, combined with his two seasons in FRECA and his victory in FRMEC (Formula Regional Middle East) in the winter, the French driver has symbolically reached 40 points on his FIA Super Licence. Crucially, this total would allow him to drive a Formula 1, making him the first Frenchman since Isack Hadjar to achieve this. For comparison, the current Racing Bulls F1 driver reached this milestone at the end of his Formula 3 season.

What future for Evan Giltaire?

Present in Macau for the Regional Formula World Cup in mid-November, Evan Giltaire is nevertheless facing a wall. Despite his natural talent, his sporting results speaking for himself, and a 2025 FRECA season marked by several notable overtaking moves and maneuvers, the doors do not seem inclined to open within the upper echelon of single-seater racing. F3 seats are filling up at the end of October, while several less successful profiles are seeing their chance granted to them.

At 18, Evan Giltaire finished his 2025 season with a victory at Misano, and three other podium finishes in the last three races of the year, at Hockenheim and Monza. Fifth overall, the rider still regretted his somewhat inconsistent form this season. "We performed well at the start and end of the European Championship. The only regret is that we had a drop in form mid-season because our place was clearly in the top three."

Now, the option to join another single-seater championship, such as IndyNXT in the United States, or a championshipEndurance, could be an interesting rebound for someone whose ability to perform at an even higher level remains a mystery. Like Isack Hadjar, whose talent has been magnified by the arrival of the academy Red Bull In its development, Formula 1 Junior Teams are becoming increasingly important for young drivers with a thirst for ambition and results. In the future, will another French driver finally be able to be supported again? In any case, many are hoping for that.

I find it unacceptable, even cruel, to leave Evan Giltaire without a drive for 2026, given his excellent results. Please help him... THANK YOU for Him 🦾🦾🦾🙏🙏🙏🥰
