Intense, littered with on-track battles for the top positions, this Race 1 lived up to all its promises on the Hockenheim circuit. FRECA championship leader Freddie Slater (Prema) took the lead of the event a few minutes before the finish. Able to get rid of Evan Giltaire (ART GP) at first, the Briton didn't hesitate to go into a duel with his rival Matteo De Palo (Trident) even if it meant finishing his maneuver outside the limits of the track. Losing ground to Akshay Bohra (R-ace GP) taking advantage of this incident, Freddie Slater quickly came back on a drying track before showing his talent to take the lead of the race.

By finishing ahead of Akshay Bohra and Matteo De Palo, the Briton – who also had the fastest lap in the race – led the first half of the weekend in a solid manner, reassuring his propensity to manage his overall lead. Naturally, this result doesn't help the Trident driver. While the two rivals were perfectly tied on points before this event, Matteo De Palo is now several points behind Freddie Slater. However, he will start Race 2 in second place, while the Briton will once again start in fourth place.

Deligny and Giltaire provide the essentials

Faced with the pace of the leaders, the two Frenchmen Evan Giltaire and Enzo Deligny managed not to lose the benefit of their good positions, failing to make up ground. Fifth at the start and finish, the R-ace GP rider did not attempt the impossible from the beginning of the pack, where Evan Giltaire adopted a similar strategy after Freddie Slater overtook him on the track. In view of Race 2, scheduled to begin this Sunday at 10:10 a.m. (French time), Enzo Deligny will be able to take advantage of starting from pole position, he who has five consecutive poles in FRECA.

Penalized this Saturday, the driver currently in third place in the championship hasn't lost much ground, and has even taken a slight lead over his nearest rival. Pedro Clerot (VAR) actually finished this first race in sixth place, and will have to work hard to prevent Sunday's polesitter from winning again.
