Marta García returns to a single-seater for the first time since 2024

Marta García, the first F1 Academy champion to be crowned in 2023, was present in recent days at the Cremona circuit to test the new Tatuus T-326.

Marta García returns to a single-seater for the first time since 2024

She hadn't ridden in a car Since the end of the 2024 FRECA season, she's back in the next generation of Formula Regional starting in the 2026 season. While she was the very first to win a title of F1 Academy, one year before Abbi Pulling's crowning, the Spaniard Marta García was invited to pilot the Tatuus T-326, a new version which will be used for all championships at this level next year.

On the Cremona circuit in Italy, the Spanish driver completed several laps in this new FIA-approved version, powered by ToyotaWhile this single-seater had already taken to the track last weekend, during the FRECA final at Monza, it will in fact benefit from the feedback of a completely different profile before the start of the upcoming season.

Marta García is looking for a driving role in 2026

For her part, Marta García concludes a season marked by some successes, she who now plays in Endurance, in the GT category. Competing with Iron Dames on Michelin tires Le Mans In the Cup series, the 25-year-old driver has two podium finishes alongside Vanina Ickx. After a strong third-place finish at Spa-Francorchamps, achieved thanks to a tenacious defense by the Spaniard, the duo went on to win their class at Silverstone in Great Britain. Despite this success, Marta García is not currently part of any racing team lined up for the end of the season.

"At this stage, I don't know what will happen next year," she confessed on her social media to wrap up her season in the Le Mans Cup"There's no confirmed program yet, and honestly, I'm disappointed. Because I've done the work, I've proven I can play… And yet, there's no clear path forward."

However, it seems clear that after achieving 28th position in the FRECA last year, and completing a full season in GT, single-seater racing will not be a viable option for the future.
