The start was scheduled for 10:15 a.m. (French time), but the rain that fell just seconds before the start quickly changed the situation. Riding on rain tires, the drivers had to be more cautious at the start, but that didn't stop Enzo Deligny (R-ace GP) from getting off to the best start. From pole position to leader from start to finish, the French driver dominated the race, notably beating Matteo De Palo (Trident), who was second, and Evan Giltaire (ART GP), who was finally back on the podium.
Unfortunately for the show, the number of track exits increased, and race management decided not to restart the race, with three minutes left on the clock. Freddie Slater (Prema) finished fourth, two places behind his championship rival. The Briton, still the leader, maintains a four-point lead over Matteo De Palo, with one round remaining in the season, which will take place at the legendary Monza circuit in Italy.
This Race 2, very short in its unfolding due to the various unforeseen events that occurred, was marked by two collisions, notably involving Nikita Bedrin at the start, and Ruiqi Liu at the end of the race. The safety car unfortunately led many laps, removing some of the interest in this race, which was nevertheless practicable at the time when the red flag was waved. In any case, Enzo Deligny pulled away from Pedro Clerot (VAR) thanks to this victory, and does not say goodbye to the title race completely before the final round.
