Giltaire was undoubtedly wide awake this Saturday, as he set the reference time with more than four tenths of a second ahead of Freddie Slater, who had set the best time in Group A. As a result, the two men will find themselves on the front row of the starting grid for the race scheduled for this afternoon, at 12:50 p.m.
For Slater, this front-row position bodes well in this final meeting of the year. His title rivals, Matteo de Palo and Enzo Deligny, will start from the fourth row of the grid, with de Palo seventh and Deligny eighth. Slater can clinch the title in this afternoon's race, but it's more likely he'll have to wait until Sunday.
Second in Group A, 2024 French F4 champion Taito Kato will start on the second row, ahead of Pedro Clerot. 51 points behind the championship leader, the Brazilian is out of contention for the title this season, but he will be determined to do everything he can to finish on the final podium.
With title contenders at the forefront between drivers who have nothing left to lose, the first battle of the weekend in the Temple of Speed of Monza will certainly be worth its weight in peanuts...
