A first test in IndyCar but what future for Jamie Chadwick?

This Monday, September 30, 2024 is a day that will forever be etched in Jamie Chadwick's memory. After two Indy NXT campaigns during which she became the first woman to win since Pippa Mann in 2010, the Bath native is about to discover theIndyCar.

While her first two years have been relatively convincing with a pole position and two podiums in addition to her victory at Road America, the British woman would like to progress in the local pyramid. The big leap, patience or change?

What will happen after this trip to Alabama? The British woman seems open to several possibilities while displaying a certain ambition. I'm aiming high, and then we'll see how the next few months go., she assured The Race.

Can she even claim it? At Andretti, whose interests she has represented for two years, the door is potentially open. However, the team would have to enter a 4th car, which would then not be franchised and therefore not automatically qualified. If that path, whether at Andretti or another team, doesn't come to fruition, Jamie Chadwick would then opt for other options. A third year in Indy NXT is not to be ruled out, nor is a change of environment.
