The former pilot of Formula 2 Norwegian has risked everything by embarking on a season in the United States, with the hope of arriving in IndyCar. This will be a done deal in 2026, with Dale Coyne Racing having reached an agreement with Andretti Global, the team that entered Hauger in Indy NXT this season, to field the young Oslo-born driver. Dale Coyne's team will also have a technical partnership with Andretti, which has been without a partner since the departure of Meyer Shank Racing, now linked to Chip Ganassi Racing.

“I am delighted to be joining Dale Coyne Racing for my first season in IndyCar.”, Hauger said. “The progress the team has made this year is truly impressive, and it’s an honor to take my place on the grid with them in 2026. I’d like to thank Dale Coyne and everyone at the team for their faith in me. It will also be nice to see some familiar faces again thanks to the team’s technical partnership with Andretti Global. They have been a huge part of my success since my switch, and I’m thrilled to have them involved in another rookie season for me. I look forward to making my contribution and starting this new chapter with them.”

Dennis Hauger will soon have the opportunity to drive an IndyCar for the first time at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, before starting his first season on March 1st on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida. The Norwegian won six races this year, finishing on the podium in five others, and secured the title before the Nashville finale.
