In addition to celebrating an important anniversary for the United States (the NASCAR will play its part by organizing a race on a Navy base), and the use of the livery throughout the season will raise funds for the Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) association. This non-profit organization aims to build and donate specially adapted homes to wounded American soldiers.
The livery that will be on the car Santino Ferrucci's car is very similar to the one he has used in recent years in the Indianapolis 500. The Foyt team and HFOT have indeed created a fundraising campaign in recent years, centered around the Indy 500, which will therefore continue throughout the entire season.IndyCarOver $15 million has already been donated to HFOT since 2022.
"What an extraordinary program!"explains Larry Foyt, the team boss. “We are extremely proud to continue our long-standing collaboration with the Hendricks family and to continue this inspiring experience of partnering with Homes For Our Troops. I cannot overstate the importance of the support Diane Hendricks and her daughter Konya (Hendricks Schuh) have provided to our team and to IndyCar over the years. It will be an honor to represent their hospitality and commercial real estate brands.”
Because if AJ Foyt Racing can compete in the 2026 season with a patriotic livery highlighting its non-profit status, it's thanks to the partnership with the Hendricks Group, a partnership that has now lasted for twenty years. Diane Hendricks herself spearheaded the marketing campaign that led to the creation of the Foyt-HFOT program in 2022. For the driver, Santino Ferrucci, a particularly patriotic figure (as evidenced by some of his antics in the past), this is a significant achievement. F2…), driving an “American flag on wheels,” as his car was nicknamed, is definitely an honor!
“I am extremely excited that Homes For Our Troops will be featured on the No. 14 car throughout the season, especially as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. This is very important, not only for the team and myself, but also because driving a car adorned with the colors of the American flag all year is an honor and a privilege. We are committed to raising awareness and funds—a lot of funds—for our severely injured veterans of 9/11 who sacrificed so much for this country to protect the freedoms we enjoy.”
Head to the streets of St. Petersburg, from February 27th to March 1st, to discover Santino Ferrucci's livery on the track.
