IndyCarAfter a year as a reserve driver for Prema, the French driver, who has struggled since then, will have a real chance to perform well at Indianapolis. In addition to his engineer Bill Pappas, Romain Grosjean can count on the presence of Michael Cannon. The Canadian engineer is a true Indy 500 specialist and is already familiar with Dale Coyne's team, having served as its chief engineer from 2014 to 2019. During that period, Ed Jones notably finished third in the 2017 Indy 500.

After stints with Chip Ganassi Racing and AJ Foyt Racing, before returning to Coyne, Cannon consistently helped make these teams serious contenders in the Indy 500. Marcus Ericsson, for example, won the 2022 edition for Ganassi, a year after Álex Palou's second-place finish. AJ Foyt Racing also had a strong showing, with Santino Ferrucci finishing third in 2023 and David Malukas second last year.
