Top 10 IndyCar Milwaukee 2 2024:

  • “It’s one of the most fun races of my career”, said winner Scott McLaughlin (Team Penske). The New Zealander emerged victorious from a fierce battle with Colton Herta (Andretti) to take the lead early in the final stint.

  • Will Power (Team Penske) seemed to be able to pull off the big win of the day. Constantly moving in the leading group, the Australian unfortunately had a strange spin that put an end to his hopes of victory."I was in second gear, I didn't expect that at all. I'm glad I didn't hit the wall. It was a close call! The title is slipping away now," acknowledged Power, ranked 10th. Instead of leaving Milwaukee with the championship lead, he remains 2nd, 33 points behind leader Alex Palou (Chip Ganassi).

  • Alex Palou was therefore very lucky this Sunday. The Spaniard suffered an engine failure on his Dallara-Honda before the start. The double IndyCar champion lost about fifteen laps to his teammates before being able to leave the pits. Ranked 19th, he still collected points that allow him to look forward to the next and final race of the season relatively calmly.
  • French Romain Grosjean (Juncos Hollinger Racing) finished an excellent 9th place. This is one of his best performances on oval since entering the discipline in 2021.
  • Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi) and Colton Herta (Andretti) completed the podium while Santino Ferrucci (AJ Foyt Racing) equaled his best result of the year with 4th place.
  • The 2024 IndyCar finale is scheduled for Nashville on September 15.
