The second day of collective testing IndyCar took place once again under the Florida sun at Sebring, and after already showing speed on Monday, Marcus Armstrong (Meyer Shank Racing) left no doubt on Tuesday, with an unofficial best time of 52:372. No one came within a tenth of the New Zealander, with Kyle Kirkwood (Andretti Global) setting the fastest time in the afternoon, 107 thousandths of a second behind the day's best time.

Divided into two groups, the majority of the 2026 season drivers were able to drive one morning and one afternoon over the two days of testing. The only exception was Ed Carpenter Racing, which opted to run only on Wednesday for the time being, with young Hunter McElrea. McElrea has participated in one IndyCar race in his career, in Toronto in 2024, and the planned absence of the Prema team from the first rounds of the season could allow them to add a couple of races at the beginning of the year, as ECR could decide to enter a third car in certain races, taking advantage of one of the two Chevrolet engines left vacant by the Italian team.

Like the day before, Romain Grosjean was present at the wheel of the No. 18 Dale Coyne Racing car, a car that still officially does not have a driver for the season. The Frenchman set the tenth fastest time of the afternoon, ahead of the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing teammates, Mick Schumacher and Graham Rahal. Performing well at Sebring is a good sign for the start of the season in St. Petersburg (Florida), since the former military base is the permanent circuit that best replicates the constraints of street circuits, with particularly bumpy asphalt and many changes in grip.

Two days of official testing will be organized on February 17 and 18 at the Phoenix oval, two weeks before the start of the season on March 1.
