Caio Collet joins AJ Foyt Racing in IndyCar

Former Indy NXT driver Caio Collet will join the IndyCar team AJ Foyt Racing for the 2026 season alongside Santino Ferruici. The 2024 IndyNXT Rookie of the Year will drive the No. 4 car from the first race in St. Petersburg, USA, in March 2026.

Caio Collet joins AJ Foyt Racing in IndyCar

Caio Collet has signed with the team ofIndyCar AJ Foyt Racing for the 2026 season. The Brazilian will drive alongside Santino Ferrucci. Indy NXT driver Caio Collet impressed last season with HMD Motorsport, securing three wins, three pole positions, and ten podium finishes in fourteen starts. He finished runner-up in the championship. For his first IndyCar season, a Brazilian logistics company, Combitrans Amazonia, will sponsor the No. 4 car that Caio Collet will drive.

Before turning his attention to the other side of the Atlantic, the Brazilian had previously raced in Formula 3 with MP Motorsport in 2021 (9th) and 2022 (8th) then Van Amersfoort Racing in 2023 (9th) before moving to Indy NXT in 2024. In his first year in the junior category of IndyCar, he had finished an impressive third in the Drivers standings, thereby winning the Rookie of the Year award.

A second Brazilian in IndyCar in 2026
