He had held onto a front row position acquired with a touch of success in the Sprint at Monza before losing the benefit in the race to faster single-seaters. Thanked by Trident at the end of an incomplete season, Sami Meguetounif had not until then communicated on his next career project, he who at this stage was making the well-known rise within the pyramid of the car.

19th in the championship Formula 2 before his departure, capable of scoring two points for Trident in the midst of a difficult 2025 season, the Marseille driver is preparing to bounce back quickly. Present during a test phase carried out in Indy NXT, the driver even climbed to first position in his first session, surpassing drivers such as Enzo Fittipaldi (second), Jack Beeton (third) and Charlie Wurz (fifth).

IndyCar goal for Meguetounif?

Communicating about his presence in the United States on his social networks, Sami Meguetounif could well choose to continue in single-seater racing on the other side of the Atlantic. It should also be noted that during this Rookie Test conducted on American soil, Max Esterson, his teammate at Trident in Formula 2, was also on the list of participants.
