Like Monday, Tuesday's test day was split into two sessions, with half the field running in the morning and the other half in the afternoon. It was during the morning test that the two Team Penske teammates climbed to the top of the timesheets, surpassing the mark set by Pato O'Ward (Arrow) McLaren) on Monday. The Mexican's time was still sufficient to take third place in the combined rankings, ahead of Marcus Armstrong (Meyer Shank Racing) and Colton Herta (Andretti).

“It’s funny, after a few days back in the car you feel like you’re at home, you’re going back to the same old things, you’re going through the same old changes and you’re just confirming things.”, Power said. “I know things so well now, but they always change. It's never the same. So you have to be on your toes, in an extremely tight pack.”

The Australian driver's observation is confirmed by the times, since only eight tenths separate Power from Marcus Ericsson (Andretti), the last time of these two days spent at Sebring. For the Prema Racing rookies, this was the first opportunity to measure themselves against the entire field. Callum Ilott ranked eighth, while his teammate Robert Shwartzman is in twenty-second place.

For Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi Racing), these official tests have clearly not been a long, quiet river. After a mechanical problem that limited him to just two laps on Monday, the six-time champion of the discipline left the track after only 15 minutes of the session on Tuesday. He was able to start again, but with only 58 laps completed and a 13th place in the final standings, the New Zealander has not had an optimal preparation period. Let's bet that this will not pose any problems for him from March 2 in the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida...
