The learning ofIndyCar continue for Theo Pourchaire. The French rookie, replacement for David Malukas at Arrow McLaren in Long Beach then in Barber this weekend, must in particular discover the atypical and demanding American tracks. In Alabama, he will start from 24th position on the starting grid this Sunday evening.

« Everything I learned in Long Beach has kind of gone out the window and we're starting from scratch, declared the Habs after the qualifying session. It's not easy to take on new tracks that I don't know, especially one of the toughest on the calendar here at Barber.

It's a circuit that requires a lot of commitment and I enjoyed it. Our qualifying didn't go too bad until I made a mistake in turns 12 and 13. I lost most of my time there and I think I could have been a lot closer to my teammate Alexander (Red).

I continue to learn every day and tomorrow in the race we will do our best to pass a lot of cars and make a good comeback. I'm much better at racing and I like to manage the tires and save fuel. Last weekend we were able to move forward and I think we can do the same thing, maybe even better, here tomorrow. »

Turn 13 did not go well for Grassois this weekend since he made a mistake there a little earlier during Free Practice 2.

In the Californian streets of Long Beach, the champion of Formula 2 in title had climbed to 11th place starting from 22nd place on the starting grid. Will he be able to achieve a similar performance this Sunday? Response from 19:30 p.m. on Canal + Sport.
