As expected, Nico Müller will not extend his adventure at ABT Cupra next year. On the sidelines of the final in London this weekend, the two parties formalized the end of their collaboration which began last season. “ It will be very special for me, recognize the Swiss. I feel melancholy and a lot of gratitude after two years spent on this team. This time has been extremely difficult, but it has also brought us closer together. We always stuck together and I'm sure that's what we'll do in London for the last time »

Nico Müller soon in Stuttgart?

While waiting for the London meeting, Nico Müller is now thinking about his future. And this could continue in Germany but not near Kempten, the ABT base, otherwise in Stuttgart, stronghold of… Porsche. Indeed, a lot of rumors link it to the German manufacturer, particularly since our British colleagues revealed that it had been tested by the German brand. It was then rumored that he could take António Félix da Costa's place within the German structure.

However, the Portuguese has regained consistency in recent weeks with, as a highlight, a double victory in Portland (United States) which puts him back in the title race in the championship of car electric. The 32-year-old driver should finally finish his contract which runs until the end of 2025.

The door would not, however, be completely closed for Nico Müller. Also aged 32, the native of Thun (Switzerland) could take a circuitous route by leaving ABT Cupra, his current employer in Formula E, to join Andretti, a Porsche customer team, in 2025. This arrival would be followed by a promotion at Porsche the following year, in 2026. By joining the fold of a manufacturer doubly competing with the Stellantis group, it therefore appears difficult for Müller to stay with Peugeot en WEC. Finally, there is one parameter that should not be overlooked at Porsche: if you doEndurance, you don't do Formula E. And vice versa. André Lotterer thus had to choose, when Félix da Costa had his destiny imposed on him. This was a source of tension with the Portuguese who was fully flourishing in Endurance.
