Each year, the FFSA Academy selects the best young French drivers to receive institutional support in their progression towards the highest international level. For 2026, the Federation has chosen seven names — five for circuit racing, two for motorsport. karting — mostly from national detection channels. "All the drivers come from the French Junior Karting Championship or the French F4 Championship."Christophe Lollier, National Technical Director, emphasizes this consistency, seeing it as proof that the system works. "Our objective is clear: to support them in achieving top international performance and to promote French expertise."
On the French Men's Circuit Team side, three drivers have been selected. Alessandro Giusti, French F4 champion in 2023, who has been racing since 2025 in Formula 3 with MP Motorsport — the highest level of the three selected. Alexander Munoz, the reigning French F4 champion, has made the leap to the Formula Regional European Championship (FREC) with ART Grand Prix, as has Jules Roussel, third in the 2025 French F4 Championship, who is competing in FREC with CL Motorsport. The Nantes native also won the F4 World Cup in Macau in 2025.

Two French women in F1 Academy
The French women's national team has two representatives, both competing in F1 Academy with ART Grand Prix. Lisa Billard, French F4 champion in 2025 in the women's category and supported by Gatorade, and Jade Jacquet, second-best female driver of the same season and a supported member of the Williams Racing Driver Academy. Two complementary profiles, in a series which has established itself in recent years as the main springboard for women to the top of motorsport.
Finally, in karting, two promising young drivers complete the promotion: Saad Deresnes and Léonie Her, both entered in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy, the leading international competition for young drivers in the discipline.
For Pierre Ragues, president of the FFSA, this 2026 class illustrates the health of the French industry: "This new cohort illustrates our sector's ability to develop strong and ambitious talents. Through the French National Teams, the FFSA is fully committed to supporting them in their development and enabling them to perform at the highest level." All that remains for them is to transform this support into results on the international stage.
