The FFSA (French Federation of Automobile Sport) understands this well: continuing one's career in motorsport when budgets are limited is no easy feat. In this case, Alexandre Munoz was crowned French F4 champion after a successful season marked by five victories between the first round at Nogaro and the last at Le Mans.
Since his victory, the Ariège native has dreamed of moving up to the next level, but the move isn't always easy. Indeed, until now, the FFSA (French Federation of Automobile Sport) had planned to award its champion €100,000. However, as the federation clearly states, this amount represents a minimum bonus intended to help its champion continue his journey in motorsport.
Given that the calendar is progressing and contracts are sometimes signed very early in the season, the FFSA (French Federation of Automobile Sport) has officially announced an even larger prize for its champion. At its annual gala, the academy decided to award Alexandre Munoz not €100,000, but €250,000. Considering that the cost of a season in FREC (Formula Regional European Championship) can exceed one million euros, this decision could significantly increase the chances of the French driver appearing on the championship grid next year.

It's worth noting that this system isn't commonplace in Europe. The Italian F4 series, for example, does offer prize money to its participants, but it's nowhere near comparable to what France offers, especially considering the prestige of the Italian championship. For instance, the Italian F4 champion receives a whopping €35,000. Second place goes to €15,000, and third place to €10,000. The best rookie also receives a €10,000 prize, but this doesn't compete with the French system, which is decidedly focused on developing its top drivers.
