Ayumu Iwasa, 2025 Super Formula champion: "To make the most of this title"

How do you analyze this season?

I feel like the championship didn't go as planned. Before the season started, we analyzed previous seasons, and when the championship was decided over nine races, the driver who won three was crowned champion. This year, we thought it would be difficult to be champion without four wins, since the calendar had 12 events. However, we didn't win during the first half of the championship. I won at Sugo. (8^e race. (Editor's note). However, we also lost three or four races, maybe even more. Honestly, I don't think that's the right way to win the championship. I know we should have done better.

Did your team support you despite the fight with your teammate Tomoki Nojiri?

Yes, she was incredibly supportive. Since last year, everyone on Team Mugen has been working towards the same goal and giving it their all. The fact that it gradually took shape gave me a lot of confidence. I'm certain I was able to achieve this result not only thanks to my team, but also thanks to everyone who supported me, and I want to thank them warmly.

How will this title influence your future?

I don't yet fully grasp the significance of this title. On the other hand, it's now up to me to make the most of it. I want to take on challenges that will allow me to fully realize its value and move forward…
