Ayumu Iwasa wins Super Formula title at the finish in Suzuka

Team Mugen and Honda put an end to the dominance of Toyota and Sho Tsuboi thanks to a determined Ayumu Iwasa, undoubtedly galvanized by the prospect of a future promotion to Formula 1.

As the final weekend of the season approached, no fewer than six drivers still had a chance to clinch the championship title. Everything was therefore still up for grabs, especially since, in addition to the two races originally scheduled at Suzuka, a third event was added during the weekend to replace the previous race.
