The 2024 Macau Grand Prix schedule

A historic monument of motorsport, the Macau Grand Prix is ​​making its return this weekend. For the occasion, this 2024 edition has been somewhat modified by the organizers. If the FIA ​​GT World Cup is still there, this is no longer the case for the Formula 3, replaced by the Regional Formula, under the name “FIA Regional Formula World Cup”. 

A decision taken for " make the event even more accessible than ever, opening it up to a wide range of drivers competing at the regional level. » This had an impact on the field with the absence of some regular teams such as Trident, Rodin Motorsport (ex Carlin) or Hitech GP. However, it allowed for greater internalization of the paddock with the presence of Japanese teams such as TOM'S Formula or TGM Grand Prix, but also from Oceania such as Evans GP. On the French side, R-ace GP, Saintéloc Racing and ART Grand Prix will represent France. 

In GT, the field is very strong with the participation of many big names in the category: Jules Gounon, Daniel Juncadella, Edoardo Mortara, Laurens Vanthoor, Raffaele Marciello and Sheldon Van der Linde. 

As for the program, the hostilities of this 2024 Macau Grand Prix will begin on Thursday with the first free practice. As a reminder, the format of the two World Cups is always composed of a qualifying session before a qualifying race the next day and the main race on Sunday.
