Crowned champion of the first season in the history of the F1 Academy, Marta Garcia will move up to FRECA with Prema.

And we have the second driver confirmed on the grid for the 2024 FRECA season. Or rather the pilot. After Noah Strømsted at RPM, Marta Garcia has been confirmed for the next Formula Regional European campaign.

Next year, the Spaniard, who became the first winner in the history of the F1 Academy, has been confirmed in the ranks of Prema, the team which has just achieved the Drivers-Teams double in 2023.

« I am very excited to participate in FRECA next year, welcomes-she. Coming from the F1 Academy, this will be a big step. We know we will have to work a lot with the team to succeed, but I am really determined to do well. I can't thank the F1 Academy enough. It's a fantastic initiative and it's the right way to go, trying to bring the drivers who have the best results to the highest level. It's an extraordinary opportunity, I can't wait to be there and work, both on and off the track."

Note that this promotion to FRECA of Marta Garcia was entirely financed by the F1 Academy, Prema, Tatuus and Pirelli.

In addition, the women's championship has decided to lower the contribution required from participants from next season underlining its " commitment to creating more opportunities for young women in motorsport. » Thus, it went from 150.000 to 100.000 euros.
