Alain Prost at the Goodwood Festival of Speed ​​for the 75th anniversary of F1

Alain Prost will be one of the distinguished guests at the next Goodwood Festival of Speed. The four-time French world champion Formula 1 (1985, 1986, 1989, 1993) will participate in the famous British event on Saturday, where he will take the wheel of two of his old single-seaters: the McLaren MP4/2B from his very first world title, as well as the legendary McLaren-Honda MP4/4 from 1988.

“The Festival of Speed ​​is a wonderful place to discover the culture and tradition of motorsport, as well as its entire history,” Alain Prost rejoices. "I am therefore looking forward to celebrating 75 years of the Formula 1 World Championship. I can't think of a better place to pay tribute to the history of F1 and two significant events in my life."

“I am absolutely delighted that Alain is returning to the Festival of Speed ​​to celebrate his distinguished career and join us in celebrating 75 years of the Formula 1 World Championship,” adds Charles Gordon-Lennox, 11th Duke of Richmond and grandson of the founder of the Goodwood Festival of Speed. “No celebration of Formula 1 would be complete without him, and it will be great to see him back behind the wheel of at least two of his most iconic cars.”

The 2025 edition will mark Alain Prost's third appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, following those in 2012 and 2013. Further information on the event's programme will be announced at a later date.
