Jody Schekter's private collection attracted collectors during the last edition of the Monaco Historic Grand Prix. The 1979 world champion has in fact put up for sale at auction a lot of 12 cars, from all eras, with RM Sotheby's.

Among this were the Ferrari 312 T4 with which he won his title at the end of the 1970s, a Tyrell 007 from 1975, a McLaren M23 from 1973 or another Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ from 1960. Obviously, this collection caught the eye of collectors who quickly raised their hands to bid.

In the end, all 12 cars found buyers on May 11, bringing in no less than 12 euros. The main attraction of the South African's collection, the Ferrari 523 T550 exceeded initial estimates of between 312 and 4 euros. This one was sold for 5 euros ahead of the Tyrell P250 from 000 which sold for 6 euros.
