On this Friday morning, the penultimate day of the 35th edition, the participants left Toulouse (the Pink City) for the Pau-Arnos circuit. Before that, they completed two closed-road stages in the Pyrenees mountains. The day concluded in the Place de Verdun, located in the heart of Pau.

For this penultimate stage, the drivers were able to demonstrate the potential of their vehicles on the winding roads of the Pyrenees. Changes in altitude and tight corners on demanding terrain were part of the challenge, and it was Sylvie and Philippe Duhamel, aboard their Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA (#77), who saw the tide turn in their favor in the Regularity category. In the Competition-VHC Period category, Émile Breittmayer and Stéphane Prévot, driving a Ford GT40 (#254), emerged victorious.

Once the picnic lunch was over, the competitors took part in their second closed-road stage in one of the historic and traditional towns along the Pyrenean-Atlantic roads: the Oloron Piedmont. The mix of steep climbs and descents, as well as tight turns, proved a real test for the crews. Herman Dietrich and Gabriel Mocciola, in a Porsche 911 2.2LS (#37), whose efforts were rewarded in the Regularity category. However, due to unpredictable weather conditions, this event had to be neutralized for the Competition category.

This event saw the victory of the crew of Olivier and Marie-Dominique Picard, driving a Saab 96 V4 (#3), in the Regularity category. In the VHC Competition category, Émile Breittmayer and his co-driver Stéphane Prévot, at the wheel of their Ford GT40 (#254), once again came out on top. Tomorrow, it will be time to begin the final stage of the 2026 Tour Auto. The crews will head towards Biarritz, after completing two closed-road stages and a run on the Nogaro circuit. The circuit will be open to the public free of charge between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
