The 2024 season of historic events organized by Peter Auto finds its conclusion on the Portuguese circuit of Estoril on the occasion of the Estoril Classics meeting, this Saturday and Sunday, October 4 and 5. The Estoril circuit, although being the most modern of the season by Peter Auto, already has a rich history, notably with the Formula 1 : Ayrton Senna's first victory (1985), resounding battle of wills between Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna (1988), spectacular flight of Ricardo Patrese (1992), improbable overtaking of Jacques Villeneuve on Michael Schumacher (1996). The drivers appreciate this winding and hilly route, marked – in particular – by the passage of the “Tire-Bouchon” and the “Parabolica”.
From Classic Endurance Racing in Sixties'Endurance through Endurance Racing Legends (LM P1 and GT1/GT2), the Porsche 911 of the 2.0L Cup or the Touring cars of the Heritage Touring Cup, all the usual grids of the series by Peter Auto will be represented.
The nine-time winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans, Tom Kristensen, will be at the start of the CER along with the CEO of Mclaren racing, Zak Brown. The two men will share the wheel of a Porsche 935 victorious at the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Daytona, as well as a Ford Escort in the Heritage Touring Cup.
Saturday from 14:10 p.m.:
Sunday from 10 a.m.:
