Gran Turismo 7: What we already know

A few weeks before the release of the latest opus: Gran Turismo 7, the new features, improvements and cars are finally revealed.

Le seventh installment of Gran Turismo will be released on March 4, 2022. 25 years after the release of the first version of the video game, this new release promises new features and the return of old ones, brought up to date.

First of all, a wide choice of vehicles will be available. More than 400 cars and 60 manufacturers from around the world will be accessible. Then other models will be added as updates occur. 

In terms of circuits, almost a hundred routes will be accessible and distributed in more than 34 different locations. Once again, the game offers reproductions of real circuits but also original creations such as “Trial Mountain”, “Deep Forest” and “High Speed ​​Ring”. Identical to the cars, new circuits will be added with the updates. The “World Circuits” mode will allow you to explore tracks around the world to compete against other players or compete in championships, but also new activities. 

This new version also includes specific features from previous releases. The “World Map” is making a comeback and the “Permit Center” and “The preparation workshop” will still be present. 

The “livery editor” has been extensively revised and now allows a wider choice of stickers but also to select more areas which were inaccessible until now. 

Brand new features will allow players to discover and increase their car culture with the “Café” and “Menu Book”. Each time users complete a book, they will be able to listen to a full description of the cars available. In some cases, they will even be able to listen to the designer of the vehicles to immerse themselves in their history. In the same vein, the “Brand Central” will make it possible to acquire new cars produced after 2001, the “Museum” will also tell the story of these vehicles. Finally, the “meeting place” arrives for the first time and serves as lounges, calmer and more conducive to discovering players from all backgrounds. 

In terms of prices, three offers will be available: for PS4 at a price of €69,99, for PS5 at €79,99 and finally the Deluxe pack for €99,99. The latter includes the adaptable game for PS4 and PS5, an initial credit of 1 CR (game credit), a Toyota Special GR Yaris, 30 PSN avatars and the official soundtrack. 

Gran Turismo gets artificial intelligence

Gran Turismo Sophy is a newcomer, a big new evolution for the game. Artificial Intelligence has gone from a car that didn't keep a straight line to an AI that beats all established human records. GT Sophy faced the best players in the world during several Esport events. In July 2021, the results without competition were unbeatable, but when players entered the scene GT Sophy was unable to compete because of the complexity and reality of the game. However in October, the AI ​​won all the stakes there. included as a team where she garners double the points than her opponents. 

« I want to race against GT Sophy more in the future. The AI ​​agent really taught me a lot,” said Takuma Miyazono, three-time FIA ​​Gran Turismo Championships champion.
