Toyota simulator: Le Mans, 365 days a year

To turn the page on LM P1 and design the first Hypercar in history, the Toyota team did not really start from a blank sheet. It was able to rely on the results of experiments carried out on the Le Mans circuit in a driving simulator which was then involved in all phases of preparation for the 24 Hours.

In the beginning, there was the monochrome Gran Trak 10 released in 1974 on an Atari arcade machine, already equipped with a steering wheel-pedal assembly. In 1992, the title Grand Prix de Microprose opened the doors to simulation with its unprecedented subjective realism. In 1996, Jacques Villeneuve took pole position at Spa-Francorchamps in his first season. F1. His secret? Careful learning on Grand Prix II!
