Rubens, welcome back to Le Mans! It's been a few years. This time, you're not returning as a driver, but as the father of a driver. Eduardo actually races in LMGT3. What do you think?
First of all, it's a real pleasure to be back at Le Mans. Then, to be able to see my son racing so fast and not be there because he's my son, but rather because he's conquered all this thanks to his results and what he's achieved. So I'm an extremely proud father. As I said, I would like to race here with him and his brother at least once, at Le Mans in the same car.
Obviously, readers know you for your career in F1, but in fact it continues! You still win championships, especially in Stock Car, races in Brazil, how are things going there in terms of racing?
Brazilian stock car is very competitive, and I also drive in NASCAR Brazil, another championship. In addition, I qualified for the World Championships in karting in Rotax at the end of the year! I am sincerely delighted to be able, at 53 years old, to remain so competitive. It's really great. We have already seen
You seem even more passionate than before! Is it because you've seen your sons compete in motorsport and become really good? Do you think it's cool to have been able to pass on your passion to them?
The most important thing for me is the fact that I always wanted them to understand that they are not racing for me, but for themselves. You have to be very involved, spend time doing sports, mental preparation. You have to spend a lot of time preparing yourself. Your friends go out to have fun and you go to bed, because you get up early the next day. It was important that they didn't do that for me, because the sacrifices are enormous. I am very, very proud to see how it is going for them, not only for Eduardo who is riding here, but also for Fernando, who is in Brazil resting before a race in Hungary.
