Late Monday evening, the very heavy sanction was handed down for the Ferrari No. 50. Fourth of the 24H of Le Mans 2025, Sunday, the Italian Hypercar driven by Antonio Fuoco, Nicklas Nielsen and Miguel Molina was finally disqualified after decisions by the stewards for infringement of the technical regulations.

Two irregularities were noted during post-race technical checks. These concerned the rear wing. According to an official statement, four screws were missing from the wing support, in contradiction with the model's homologation form.

The report also states that a mechanic noticed, during the final pit stop at 15:23 p.m., that a bolt was missing. While the team confirmed that this had not resulted in any performance gains, officials noted that the car's highest top speed was recorded from lap 380 to 387. That is, at the very end of the race.

Then, the second irregularity is excessive flexibility of this same rear wing. Indeed, the maximum allowed by the LMH regulations is 15 mm. While on the Ferrari No. 50, the deformation was measured at 52 mm during a test carried out after the finish. That's well above.

Ferrari acknowledges non-compliance and does not contest

In the same statement from the stewards, it is stated that the Scuderia acknowledges these non-conformities and does not contest the result. Consequently, even if the Italian team can still appeal, the decisions taken are heavy for the crew of the No. 50.

First, the Hypercar 499P was removed from the final standings. This was revised and all the competitors behind it logically moved up one place. The #12 Cadillac of Will Stevens, Norman Nato and Alex Lynn therefore took fourth place. While the Toyota n ° 7 of Kamui Kobayashi, Mike conway et Nyck de Vries completes the top 5.

Second consequence: the associated trophies and awards must be returned and redistributed in accordance with the regulations. Finally, the third decision relates to the documents affected by these irregularities. These must be sealed, pending a possible appeal.

Before the conspiracy theorists start crying foul, it was the missing nuts that caused the rear wing to bend. Ferrari doesn't dispute that, end of story.

The King of Cheaters Shines Wrongly is not, however, an advisor at Maranello... Well, as for the bolts, that's more of an anecdote, but as for the flexibility of the rear wing, what about the other two Ferraris?

As luck would have it, many competitors have pointed out the FERRARI's high straight-line speed. Has the wing flexibility been checked on the other two?

After the Porsche disqualified from qualifying for being underweight, the Ferrari is missing screws which, by the greatest of coincidences, helped the top speed at the end of the race... Fortunately, the ACO is keeping an eye on things!!!
