Doriane Pin: "I have to be there for the team, able to provide answers right away."

After a first participation in 2023, Doriane Pin is preparing to return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with an added responsibility in her team, the Duqueine Team, as a consequence of her progress as a driver.

Since 2023, the career path and status of Dorian Pin things have changed on the international stage. The "Pocket Rocket" is making its comeback this year in Endurance, after a two-year adventure in F1 Academy that put her in the spotlight, and which led to the title in 2025. Development pilot since at Mercedes Benz in F1, Peugeot in Endurance and Citroën in Formula EThe 22-year-old driver has gained maturity and experience, allowing her to tackle the 24 Hours of Le Mans with real ambitions in the LMP2 category, alongside Richard Verschoor and Julien Andlauer in the Oreca 07 No. 30.

Above all, she now feels compelled to perform as soon as she steps into the cockpit, something she perhaps took a little longer to get into in 2023, especially at night, in her own words. The Ivry-sur-Seine native knows her status has changed and is handling this new pressure very well, which is primarily a reflection of the confidence her team has placed in her.

“It took me a little while to adapt when I first drove at night, so now I know what to expect. Now that I’m a driver who can be a benchmark in the team like the other two, I have to get right into it. I have less time to adapt; I have to be there for the team, able to provide answers immediately. I feel that responsibility and I like it, because it means I’ve progressed in my career. I hope to be involved right away and be as aggressive on the track as possible.”

Doriane Pin feels this responsibility all the more keenly because she knows that with Verschoor and Andlauer by her side, she is part of one of the crews that, on paper, should be able to play a leading role. Alongside Giorgio Roda, Verschoor and Pin currently lead the European Le Mans Series championship, and the addition of a factory driver... PorscheJulien Andlauer's presence only strengthens a duo that is already performing at a very high level.

“On paper, we have a very strong team and a fantastic crew, so I’m very happy to be returning to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It’s one of the most legendary races in the world and one of those you want to win in your career. I think we have a very good chance this year, with two excellent teammates and a team behind us that’s working incredibly hard to give us the resources to succeed. We’re currently leading the championship.” ELMS And I think we have a chance to do something good. Let's be honest, the level of competition in the LMP2 category is incredibly high, with many teams that have been around for years and are fiercely determined to win. The important thing is to do things right from Sunday's Test Day, and to prepare the car as best as possible, getting it into its optimal performance window to have a good car for the 24 Hours. Then, we'll need to avoid problems and have a clean and fast race.

Along with Lilou Wadoux, Doriane Pin is one of two female drivers competing in this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans. Having also become a darling of the French public, she expects to experience a particularly intense ten days leading up to the checkered flag on Sunday, June 14th at 16 pm. Rather than worrying about how this increased exposure might affect her performance, Pin hopes to thrive on this enthusiasm and enjoy this unique event.

“I expect there will be a huge number of requests, like in 2023 but even more intense! Naturally, managing my energy will be crucial because in 2023 I was a bit euphoric after my first participation. Now I know how to manage it a bit better, and I'm also more mature. I also want to enjoy it because not many people get the chance to participate in Le Mans. I want to make the most of it, and in France, we're lucky to have such tremendous support and such a great race. I'm going to enjoy it as much as possible and try to live in the moment. I also think that's how you perform best on the track, when you're in the moment, when you're experiencing it, and that's it. Every time I get in the car, I'm going to have as much fun as possible.”
