IDEC Sport will be at the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2026 for the tenth consecutive year. The Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) has published the official entry list for the 94th edition, confirming the presence of the French team, which will field car #28 with Paul Lafargue and his teammate Job Van Uitert. Paul-Loup Chatin, also competing with Genesis Magma Racing in the World Rally Championship,Endurance, will be replaced, and the third pilot will be announced soon.

For Patrice Lafargue, president of IDEC Sport and the IDEC Group, seeing the team appear once again on the list of entrants remains " a moment that was as powerful as ever ", despite ten participations already under his belt. He reminds us that Le Mans is a race demanding, sometimes cruel, but always extraordinary " and said he was confident in the commitment of his team and drivers to write "a new beautiful page" in the history of IDEC Sport.

Nicolas Minassian, the team manager, emphasizes the pride felt when the team's participation is confirmed.Participating in Le Mans is never a given. », He explains. " Every year, we eagerly await the entry list, and seeing IDEC Sport's name on it is always a thrill. With Paul and Job, we have a high-performing and experienced duo, capable of taking on the challenge of a very competitive LMP2 category. »

Paul Lafargue also shares his enthusiasm: Racing at Le Mans is always an extraordinary experience, a unique moment filled with emotion and challenges. This will be my tenth participation in this legendary race, and the excitement remains undiminished. »

In 2026, the field will consist of 62 cars: 18 Hypercars, 18 LMP2s and 25 GT3s. IDEC Sport, which has already secured a European championship title in 2019, a podium finish at Le Mans in 2024 (3rd) and two pole positions in LMP2 (2018 and 2023), hopes to improve its result this year and add another line to its record.

Before returning to Sarthe from June 11th to 14th, IDEC Sport will open its season ELMS in Barcelona, ​​with official testing on April 7 and the 4-hour race on April 12. The other rounds of the 2026 ELMS will be Le Castellet (May 3), Imola (July 5), Spa-Francorchamps (August 23), Silverstone (September 13) and Portimao (October 10).

The full program for the 24 Hours of Le Mans includes official testing on June 7, free practice and Hyperpole qualifying from June 10 to 11, before the start of the 24 Hours on June 13 and the finish on June 14.
