Jack Hawksworth replaces Esteban Masson at Akkodis in Le Mans

The provisional list of entrants 24 Hours of Le Mans 2026 was published by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest this Thursday, February 19, with 62 cars planned on the starting grid, including 25 LMGT3s.

Among them, one change is worth noting regarding the two Lexus RC Fs entered by the French team Akkodis ASP Team. Indeed, Esteban Masson, who was scheduled to compete in the World Championship season,Endurance, is replaced in issue #78 by Jack Hawksworth.

« Jack Hawksworth returns to Le Mans with Akkodis' ASP team for the third consecutive year. He replaces Esteban Masson, who will compete in a different category at this year's event. Jack's knowledge of the team and the race will be a key asset during the 24 Hours. » the French team indicated on its Instagram account.

Although the team Esteban Masson will drive for at the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans has not yet been officially announced, there is little doubt that it will be Forestier Racing by Panis in LMP2. The French driver is indeed confirmed with this team to defend his title in the European Le Mans Series.

The 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place on June 13th and 14th.
