The end of the Dunlop bridge at the 24 Hours of Le Mans

The Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) has announced an evolution of its infrastructure around the circuit of 24 Hours of Le Mans Starting in 2026, as part of a strengthened partnership with Goodyear. This project is in line with the ACO's commitments to innovation and site development, in a context of increasing visitor numbers in recent years.

A brand historically linked to motorsports, Goodyear will benefit from an increased presence at the Sarthe circuit. The manufacturer recently confirmed its intention to refocus part of its sporting strategy on endurance racing, using it as a platform for technological development.

Goodyear replaces Dunlop at the 24 Hours of Le Mans

Several improvements are planned for spectators. The Dunlop bridge will be replaced by a Goodyear bridge, which will retain the existing structure. The Goodyear Racing Club, located at the end of the pit straight, will undergo a complete renovation. The Goodyear grandstand, near the 24 Hours of Le Mans Museum and the Indianapolis corner, will also be renovated.

In an effort to preserve heritage, the ACO and Goodyear will donate objects related to the former Dunlop footbridge to the 24 Hours of Le Mans Museum.

According to the ACO, these changes aim to support the development of the event and the circuit while respecting the site's historical identity. Stéphane Andriolo, ACO's Director of Clients and Events, emphasizes that this partnership should improve the experience offered to spectators and competitors.

Goodyear's involvement at Le Mans is part of a comprehensive motorsport strategy. The manufacturer boasts 14 overall victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and 368 Grand Prix wins. Formula 1 and more than 70 years of victorious presence in NASCARIn 2023, Goodyear notably introduced a smart tire as part of the Garage 56 project.
