Time passes and the 24H of Le Mans are still as popular… and even more so over the past two years with the massive arrival of manufacturers in the premier category of WEC, the Hypercar. During the last two editions in 2023 and 2024, the legendary Sarthe event was sold out, with nearly 330 spectators, historic attendances in our century.
To meet the ever-increasing expectations of fans, the ACO has decided to carry out some development work to offer the public a better experience on the circuit. Thus, for the 93rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans – which will take place on June 15 and 16 – there will be three new viewpoints for spectators on some of the most impressive areas of the circuit.
The first new spectator area will be located at the Karting : the ACO will build a mound which will overlook the end of the bends Porsche – one of the most spectacular places on the circuit according to drivers and fans, with bends over 200km/h – and the Karting bend. Accessible with a simple entry ticket, it will be able to accommodate several thousand people. On site, a Fan Zone will also be created, including a giant screen, catering areas, toilets, etc. Installed directly on the Circuit Alain Prost, it will allow you to experience the race in an exceptional way! This Karting zone will be accessible via the Karting, CIK or Maison Blanche gates.
The second spectator zone will be on the Tertre Rouge side, with a concept called "Chill Zone": an essential place to enjoy the race... in peace. Able to accommodate more than 10 spectators, this space will be ideal for eating and following the race on a giant screen. Just like the Karting Zone, the Tertre Rouge zone will be accessible on foot from the Tertre Rouge gate, with a simple entry ticket. This new location is on the former Tertre Rouge Reception Area. The people who used to camp on this area have been contacted and a relocation proposal has been made to them.
Finally, new stands with 1000 seats each will be created at the Maison Blanche chicane, at the exit of the Karting bends and the Corvette bend. A giant screen will also be installed at this location for spectators with a ticket for these new stands.
As a reminder, the 24 Hours of Le Mans ticket office will open on Wednesday, November 13 for the general public. ACO members benefit from a period of exclusivity starting on Wednesday, November 6.
