Tom Dillmann (Inter Europol Competition): "We want to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans again."

The winner of the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans in LMP2 returns to Sarthe with the same Inter Europol Competition team and a desire to add a second victory to his record.

What is your state of mind when you come to the Weigh-In? 24 Hours of Le Mans 2026 this Friday? 

I'd say it's a bit more relaxed than before my victory. Still, there's a lot of focus and determination involved! But having won it once takes a weight off your shoulders, let's say, because Le Mans is the kind of race you really want to win every year in your career. If you don't win it, you say: “One less opportunity”Another year has passed, without winning it! So, there you have it, it's just a little more relaxed, but still, we want to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans again.

You return with the same crew (with Nick Yelloly and Jakub Smiechowski. Editor’s note), within the same team. This notion of continuity is important at Le Mans, and does it play a role in performance over 24 Hours?

Absolutely, to have the same line-upThat's a big advantage. Everyone has their role and strengths within our crew. It works very well. We definitely save a lot of time during the week. (from Le Mans. Editor’s note) with the same crew. We know exactly where we need to go.

We've seen quite a few crews that also change compared to what we see in Endurance Le Mans Series (ELMS) where you race year-round with Inter Europol Competition. There are quite a few drivers who only come to Le Mans. How does that change the competition in LMP2?

Last year, at the same time (from the Weighing Station. Editor's note)I said we were the favorites. I wasn't wrong! I think we're still the favorites this year, but there might be more cars in contention for the win. Especially our teammates, and also those at TDS and United Autosports, in particular. But we need to focus on ourselves. As we said, having the same driver lineup is an advantage. We'll try to do like last year!
