United Autosports is now sold out for the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2025. After the two McLaren 720S entered in the GT3 category and the Oreca 07 No. 23, the British team has confirmed the composition of its final crew in LM P2. Until now, only Renger van der Zande had been announced. The Acura driver in IMSA will finally be accompanied by David Heinemeier Hansson and the former pilot of Formula 1 Pietro Fittipaldi (two Grand Prix starts in 2020 with Haas).

Heinemeier Hansson and Fittipaldi also know each other well: they have already competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans together twice, in 2022 with Inter Europol Competition and in 2023 with Jota, both times in the LMP2 category, which they will be competing in next June. With Renger van der Zande, the trio has no fewer than 20 participations in the Sarthe: 11 for the Dane, 7 for the Dutchman and 2 for the Brazilian.

« I am delighted to be returning to Le Mans, in a car entered by United Autosports, says Heinemeier Hansson. Their track record, preparation, and results speak for themselves. This is probably my best chance to achieve a great result. Especially driving with Pietro for the third time at Le Mans, and reuniting with Renger after sharing several cars with him in IMSA a few years ago. I can't wait! »

« It's always very special to race at Le Mans, adds Fittipaldi. I had great success last time there, fighting for pole position in 2023, and now, with the opportunity to defend the Le Mans victory for United Autosports… I am extremely excited. I would like to thank Richard Dean and the entire United Autosports team for their trust. I am really looking forward to racing with David, Renger and the entire No. 22 team. »

United Autosports won the LMP2 class in 2024 with the No. 22 car, but with a completely different lineup consisting of Nolan Siegel, Bijoy Garg, and Oliver Jarvis. Of that trio, only Jarvis will return this year with Zak Brown and Richard Dean's team in the No. 23, alongside Daniel Schneider and Ben Hanley.
