He said his third victory in Sarthe was “surprising and unexpected”. Entered with a car which has continued to achieve XXL popularity over the years, Yannick Dalmas won a 63rd edition marked by rain and the scarcity of prototypes. Nevertheless, the Frenchman had the merit of circumventing the mechanical pitfalls which beset the new McLaren F1 GTR.
