United Autosports managed to defeat Inter Europol Competition to take the LMP2 crown. The No. 22 Oreca, with Oliver Jarvis, Nolan Siegel and Bijoy Garg at the wheel, brings the British team its first success in La Sarthe since 2020.

The Anglo-American crew was able to widen the gap in the final hours of the race to ensure a sparkling success. Second victory in LMP2 at Le Mans for Oliver Jarvis (his first success dates back to 2017) while his two American teammates (rookies) enjoy their first success.

The reaction of the three winners:

Oliver Javis, driver of the No. 22 United Autosports Oreca: “It was really a complicated race, I was very happy to cross the finish line. The last stint was completely crazy, I had to attack and widen the gap, we could have escaped at any time. With these conditions, staying on the track was already an accomplishment, it was so complicated. The team did a lot of work on the pit wall; we had the right strategy, we put the right tires on at the right time. Our car was phenomenal! We can be really happy with what we accomplished today (Sunday). »

Nolan Siegel, driver of the No. 22 United Autosports Oreca: « As Oliver said, the conditions were very difficult, and it was my first! On the last stint, when it started to rain and the team told me to stop to change drivers I was so happy (Laughs)! It was really interesting to drive, it was dry everywhere, I was pushing with my slick tires and then right after the track was wet I said to myself “What? » ! But we had to put the right tires on at the right time, it was a choice that we always had to make at the last moment because we had to constantly adapt. Congratulations to the whole team and my teammates, it’s really a source of pride to win Le Mans »

Bijoy Garg, driver of the No. 22 United Autosports Oreca: « Winning at Le Mans is an incredible feeling. To be honest, I will remember this day for the rest of my life. This year, we are suffering, whether in ELMS or IMSA but we didn't give up. We worked a lot this week, changed lots of things in terms of settings etc… We got our first victory in 2024, here at Le Mans and that means so much to us. I thank the whole team, engineers and mechanics for giving us such a good car. »
