The 2025 calendar officially presented but no new news

The ACO, through the voice of Pierre Fillon, unveiled the next calendar for the 2025 season of WEC. As expected, there are no major changes since it consists of the same 8 rounds and in the same order.

Hydrogen confirmed at Le Mans in 2028

The ACO set up the MissionH24 project in 2018, with the objective of creating a hydrogen category for 24 Hours of Le Mans, in order to promote soft mobility. While initially it was a fuel cell which was powered by hydrogen, this time it will be a thermal engine, which will run on liquid hydrogen, “cleaner” than usual fuel.

Homologation of Hypercars extended until 2029 in WEC and IMSA

The LMHs made their debut during the 6 2021 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps while the LMDhs debuted in IMSA during the 24 2023 Hours of Daytona. The ACO has confirmed that the homologation cycle for these cars has been extended until 2029, in order to guarantee sporting and economic stability.
