Aston Martin unveils the new winner of its young driver academy

Each year, the Aston Martin Racing Driver Academy assembles groups of young drivers with the ultimate goal of winning a prize. This year, 21-year-old Belgian driver Kobe Pauwels became the eighth winner.

Aston Martin unveils the new winner of its young driver academy

After Ross Gunn and Roman De Angelis, drivers currently involved in the program WEC byAston Martin On board the Valkyrie Hypercar, after the Frenchmen Valentin Hasse Clot and Romain Leroux, the Belgian Kobe Pauwels becomes the eighth winner of the Aston Martin Racing Driver Academy at the end of 2025.

Winner of the GTWC Sprint Cup at the last round, Kobe Pauwels teamed up with Jamie Day, the most recent winner of the British academy, at the wheel of an Aston Martin Vantage entered by Comtoyou Racing. Having managed to stand out among 23 drivers initially selected, the Belgian was chosen based in part on a test organized by the company at the Bahrain circuit.

Now ready to take on the final challenge of his season, the Belgian is preparing to fly to Asia Le Mans Series. First stage, Sepang, starting this weekend of December 12th for the first two races taking place on the Sepang circuit, in Malaysia. “I am very proud to be the winner of the Aston Martin Racing Driver Academy, Kobe Pauwels rejoices after the announcementThe year has already been fantastic with Vantage, with the Silver Cup title in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint, and it promises to be even better in 2025.
