Faced with the growth of its commitment in Endurance, both in the Endurance World Championship (WEC) and in F1, Cadillac is strengthening its organization. The American manufacturer will enter a total of five V-Series.Rs in the two championships (two in WEC, three in IMSA), i.e. two more frames than in 2024.
In order to best support this increased involvement, the Detroit firm is welcoming new recruits to its technical and managerial departments. As announced at the end of October, Keely Bosn will continue to manage the Cadillac and Corvette programs in Endurance, whether in WEC or IMSA. She had replaced Laura Wontrop Klauser in this position at the end of the 2024 season.
The main recruit is probably Xavier 'Xavi' Marcos Padros. Formula 1 fans, his name may ring a bell and indeed: the Spanish engineer was for a long time the voice on the radio of Charles Leclerc, being the race engineer of the monegasque driver at Ferrari from 2019 to 2024. He joins Cadillac as its new technical director and will oversee “all aspects of car engineering, performance and development.” This is the first time since 2017 that Xavier Marcos will work outside of Formula 1, having previously worked in NASCAR with Richard Childress Racing between 2015 and 2017.
Another Cadillac Racing arrival: Sean O'Shea will join the American clan as head of powertrain and will be responsible for the development and performance of the ferocious naturally aspirated V8 and its electrical components that equip the V-Series.R in IMSA and WEC. The engineer first worked in motorsport with Bosch Motorsport on Mazda's "Go Diesel" program, before joining General Motors in 2015 in military application projects.
In 2025, Cadillac will begin its third season with its LMDh in the two main Endurance championships. In WEC, the American manufacturer is partnering with Hertz Team JOTA to enter two Hypercars in the premier class. In IMSA, the Detroit firm will be represented with Wayne Taylor Racing with two cars. A third V-Series.R will also be operated by Action Express Racing.

Cadillac is going all out with a significant technical and organizational reinforcement: If we look back over the last two years (in WEC), it is mainly the inconsistency of performance, mainly in racing, which has penalized the team, which has perhaps led some drivers to exceed the limits in racing (Bamber). The normal objective should be to equal and compete with Porsche Penske, which has become the reference in LMDh.
