Despite a 20-second penalty to serve during its final pit stop, the #29 Oreca 07 driven by Esteban Masson, Louis Rousset, and Oliver Gray won the 4 Hours of Barcelona, finishing more than 13 seconds ahead of the #34 Inter Europol Competition entry (Reshad de Gerus, Bijoy Garg). The #22 United Autosports entry, which led for much of the race, finished third, driven by Ben Hanley, Griffin Peebles, and Grégoire Saucy.
In the final minutes, it seemed the #24 Nielsen Racing car, driven by Jack Doohan, could potentially take the win, but a penalty for a Full Course Yellow rule violation took it out of contention, before a rear suspension failure in the dying moments relegated it to seventh place. In LMP2 Pro/Am, the #30 Duqueine Team car (Richard Verschoor, Dorian PinGiorgio Roda), who started from pole position, could do nothing against Malthe Jakobsen, Enzo Trulli and Michael Jensen, victorious at the wheel of the No. 20 Oreca of Algarve Pro Racing.
While the LMP3 battle was fierce throughout the race between the #85 R-Ace GP and the #11 EuroInternational, it was ultimately the #5 Rinaldi Racing Ligier that took the victory, thanks to an excellent final stint by Mikkel Gaarde Pedersen. The LMGT3 category ultimately went to the Porsche Proton Competition car #75. The race was extended by 25 minutes following a red flag on the first lap, resulting from two accidents in the first chicane, shortly after the start.
