The rumor had been circulating for several weeks, and now it's official: Dorian Pin will make her return to endurance racing with Duqueine in the LMP2 PRO/AM category. The Frenchwoman will compete in the European Championship. Le Mans Series on the No. 30 Oreca of the French team, which she will share with the Italian Giorgio Roda and the Dutchman Richard Verschoor.

Supported by McLaren F1, Verschoor will discover endurance racing after spending the last five seasons in Formula 2He will therefore meet Doriane Pin, who arrives with the support of Mercedes Benz F1. Fresh from winning the F1 Academy title, "Pocket Rocket" now aims for promotion to Formula 1 in the medium term, which she hopes to achieve through endurance training. Her plan is simple: to compete in the season ofELMS and the 24 Hours of Le Mans before securing a seat in Hypercar, which could lead her to F1.

"I think anything is possible. It's true that the traditional career in car "is the most common path to F1, but nothing is set in stone." Doriane Pin asserted this in January in an exclusive interview with AUTOhebdo. “My career path is already very different from that of other drivers. I’ve only done…” karting "I started nationally in France, without going international. Then, I had these opportunities in endurance racing thanks to Iron Dames, even before single-seaters. So why not go back, with the goal of Hypercar in 2027? Hypercar and Formula 1 aren't incompatible. You can accumulate Super Licence points in endurance racing. So yes, going from endurance to Formula 1 is possible. And if I'm the first to do it, we'll open a door that's never been opened before. It will show that there are several paths to reach the same goal."

Pin joins Duqueine who allies himself with R-ace GP

The first step in her plan will therefore involve the European Le Mans Series, a championship she first experienced in 2022 in the LMGTE class. With the Iron Dames, she notably secured a victory at the 4 Hours of Portimão alongside Michelle Gatting and Sarah Bovy.

Doriane Pin will therefore be returning to the ELMS this season, in LMP2 PRO/AM, alongside Richard Verschoor and Giorgio Roda. Duqueine arrives with ambition, bolstered by a new partnership with R-ace GP, which will handle the operational management of the LMP2 program.

“We needed a partner capable of meeting ambitious objectives within a controlled framework. Thibaut de Mérindol and his team embody this culture of excellence, combining rigor and a constant pursuit of performance.” explained Gilles Duqueine"I am convinced that this synergy will allow us to build a structure where every detail will be optimized to achieve our sporting ambitions."

The 2026 ELMS season will begin with the 4 Hours of Barcelona on April 12, the first of six rounds scheduled on the calendar.
