Théo Pourchaire takes pole position at the 4 Hours of Imola

Qualifying for the 4 Hours of Imola was severely disrupted by a thunderstorm. After the LMGT3 and LMP3 cars had completed their qualifying sessions, the LMP2 Pro/Am and LMP2 sessions were postponed by more than an hour.

The last two parts of the session took place on a wet and then drying track. The LMP2 Pro/Am session was also interrupted by a red flag following Anthony Wells's run-off at Acque Minerali just under two minutes from the end of the time trial, giving Giorgio Roda (Proton Competition) a new pole position in this category.

In LMP2, it was Tristan Vautier who caused a red flag three minutes from the end after a slight excursion at the wheel of the No. 37 CLX – Pure Rxcing car. His compatriot Theo Pourchaire appeared very comfortable in these complicated conditions, as the Algarve Pro Racing driver dominated the standings almost from start to finish in this session. The Grasse driver confirmed this at the end of the session by securing his first pole position in ELMS and Endurance. In style, since the Stellantis test driver set his best lap in 1:37.919, almost a second ahead of Luca Ghiotto (Inter Europol Competition)!

Theodor Jensen was the fastest driver in the LMP3 class in the No. 325 CLX Motorsport Ligier JS P17. The Dane edged out Ian Aguilera (No. 11 Eurointernational) and Quentin Antoneli (No. 68 M Racing) in a stormy start to the race, making it a one-two for the French manufacturer.

In LMGT3, the session was interrupted by a red flag following Custodio Toledo's excursion into the gravel with less than seven minutes left on the clock. After the restart, it was Martin Berry who was finally the fastest to give pole position in this category to the Mercedes-AMG No. 63 of the Iron Lynx team. He beat the Frenchman Clément Mateu on theAston Martin Vanatage AMR as well as the Tricolor Célia Martin on the Porsche 911 GT3 R of the Iron Dames.
