A member of Iron Dames since the beginning of the project, Michelle Gatting continues the adventure in 2026, even though the 100% female team will not be fielding a car in WEC or ELMS.

While the Iron Dames were regulars at the LMEM championships in recent seasons, the publication of the entry lists for the 2026 season, both in WEC whether ELMS, could only highlight the absence of a top-level program for Iron Lynx's sister structure.

Confirmed in a pilot role Porsche For 2026, Michelle Gatting will continue to represent Iron Dames, but this time in mixed-gender teams, starting with Pure Racing at the Dubai 24 Hours (January 16-18, 2026). The Danish driver announced the news on Iron Dames' social media channels, specifying that this was just one part of her plans for the upcoming season.

“I’m happy to finally be able to announce some plans for my 2026 season, which will start in mid-January at the Dubai 24 Hours. I’ll be sharing the car with three very fast male drivers; it will be the first time I’ve shared a car with male drivers, but the job remains the same. I’m really looking forward to it, and I hope I can contribute as much as possible with my experience and knowledge. I’ll be there as a Porsche driver representing the Iron Dames.”

After Dorian PinMichelle Gatting, who notably competed in the 2022 WEC season in LMP2 for Prema Racing alongside Mirko Bortolotti and Daniil Kvyat, will therefore be part of a mixed-gender driver lineup. The Iron Dames project highlights this as another positive step forward, made possible by the performance and opportunities available. It remains to be seen whether other Iron Dames programs, particularly Michelin, will follow suit. Le Mans Cup, in which Marta García and Vanina Ickx participated in 2025, will be renewed or not.
