1000 Miles of Sebring – EL3: Glickenhaus ahead Alpine

The third and final Free Practice session for the 1000 Miles of Sebring saw Glickenhaus set the best time ahead of Alpine. The Toyotas once again remained behind.

For the second time since the start of Free Practice 1000 Miles of Sebring, the Glickenhaus team (Ryan Briscoe, Romain Dumas, Olivier Pla) set the best time during the third session, this Thursday morning, in 1:49.261. Alpine (Andre Negro, Nicolas lapierre, Matthieu Vaxiviere) took second position at 0.403 seconds. The first LM P2s follow with the #22 United Autosports USA (Filipe Albuquerque, Phil Hanson, Will Owen) to complete the overall podium in 1:49.745. In its category, the American team dominated the #38 of Jota (Roberto Gonzalez, Antonio Felix da Costa, William Stevens) and the second United Autosports USA, the #23 of Paul di Resta, Oliver Jarvis and Joshua Pierson. It was another complicated hour of driving for the Toyota, only fifth and eighth overall. 

In GTE, the Porsche continue to dominate the clock. In Pro, Kevin Estre and Michael Christensen set the best time with the #92 in 1:57.448 ahead of their teammates Gianmaria Bruni and Richard Lietz on the #91. Corvette completes the podium.

It's another car from the German manufacturer that got the better of the Ams with the #46 of Team Project 1 (Matteo Cairoli, Mikkel Pedersen, Nicolas Leutwiler) in 1:58.776. The session was marked by three exits from the track: that of Sarah Bovy (Iron Dames), that of Edward Jones (Jota) and that of James Allen (Algarve Pro Racing).
